The Value Of Paperback Book Clubs -
I'm one of those people who reads anything I can get my hands on. Novels, magazines, newspapers, you name it. If it has print on it and is within my reach, I'll eventually get around to reading it! While other people are busy building up collections of CDs and DVDs, I spend my money building up my reading library. I purchase more than 100 books per year, and have a collection that numbers in the thousands right now.
Allure Of Mystery Books -
There seems to be some reason why I don’t like to read mystery books. This is something that I don’t understand, because when I was a child I loved them. There was a series of book about a girl named Trixie Beldon, and I could not get enough of them. I read a few of the Nancy Drew books, but I found that I preferred Trixie. These books are ones that I hope to buy for my daughter,

Mystery Books -
In my opinion, there is nothing better than curling up on the couch with a mug of hot chocolate and one of my many mystery books. Well, most of them are my weakness. There are some mystery books that just don’t suit my fancy too much. But, I

Actors Biography -
For most ordinary people, a biography would not be nearly as interesting as the day to day activities of their lives. They may have fun going to the movies, playing amateur baseball with friends, taking that yearly summer vacation, or whatever, but it does not necessarily make for interesting reading. An actors biography, however, is a different kind of thing altogether. Actors biographies – even those of minor or
Albert Camus -
Reading the stranger by Albert Camus was a particularly eye-opening experience in my young life. I wasn't very familiar with the existentialists at the time. Of course, I had read No Exit by Sartre, but I have had sort of mixed feelings about it. He seemed to be saying some pretty obvious things and taking himself very seriously with them. I'm not saying Sartre was a

Harlequin Romance -
There is something to be said for the occasional dose of romance in any relationship. The problem is that we are often sure that we are not getting as much as other couples, and that something is lacking in our relationship. Truthfully, most people are not romantic on a day to day basis, but find small ways to slip it in when the timing is right.
Graphic Novels -
The first graphic novel that I ever read was Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Like many people not weaned on comics, I had little exposure to the genre until this fantastic breakout artist turned me on to what was going on in comic books. Graphic novels, if you don't know, are longer comic books. Some of them are made as complete stories in and of

Reading Books -
When I went into the first parent teacher conference for my daughter, her teacher gave me a glowing review and reminded me that one of the best things I could be doing with her is reading books. This is something that we have been doing ever since she has been old enough to focus her eyes on a picture, even if she wasn’t yet old enough to understand what the words meant. Reading was something we did with her all of
